Local Foundations Support Public Education

The Rockingham County Education Foundation (RCEF) and the Reidsville Area Foundation (RAF) have announced a matching grant program to fund support for public education in Rockingham County. RCEF is launching a countywide fundraising effort to build the capacity of its organization to support local public education efforts. RAF has agreed to match every dollar raised by this effort, up to $100,000.

RCEF was formed in 2008 by a group of individuals from across Rockingham County to provide financial and community support for public schools. This group recognized the importance of public education to efforts to make Rockingham County competitive in future efforts to improve the local economy and improve quality of life.

We are grateful to the Reidsville Area Foundation for the confidence that they have in RCEF, as demonstrated by this matching grant. It fundamentally will change the ability of our organization to support and promote public education in Rockingham County
