About the Role

As the Executive Director, you will serve as the heart of RCEF, overseeing our mission-driven operations, fostering partnerships, and securing resources to ensure the sustainability of our programs. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will lead efforts to grow our impact and strengthen our community.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead with Vision: Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with the Board and staff.

  • Inspire Action: Create programs that empower students, educators, and families to thrive.

  • Secure Resources: Lead grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement efforts to ensure financial health.

  • Build Relationships: Represent RCEF in the community, forging connections with partners and stakeholders.

  • Oversee Operations: Ensure effective day-to-day management, including budgeting, staff leadership, and program delivery.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred).

  • Transparent, high-integrity leadership with a proven record in nonprofit management or a related field.

  • Strong fundraising and grant-writing skills.

  • Excellent communication skills to inspire and connect with diverse stakeholders.

  • Financial and operational management experience, including budgeting and program oversight.

  • Passion for public education and commitment to the success of Rockingham County.

 

Compensation

  • Salary range: $40,000 to $45,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Opportunity to lead impactful initiatives that transform lives and communities.
